[PSP]I-Skin Neo Review

This is not meant to rival the Logitech PlayGear, or any other hardshell case out there. This is meant as a STYLISH, SOPHISTICATED wallet for the PSP. The protection will come from your careful hands, and common sense.I have been hunting high and low for a case such as this. Stylish, and mature looking but still able to carry a few mem sticks, and at least 1 spare UMD. I like this case because of the tactile feel, and it does not excude GEEK while I'm playing my PSP in public. It's kinda like the difference between using a nylon woven laptop bag, versus a designer leather bag. Products such as this certainly remind the none gaming public that video games are no longer confined to beer splilled stinky dorm rooms. For travel protection, I keep the PSP and iSkin inside my laptop bag / shoulder bag / backpack, and use some common sense. The only rival to this is the Vaja case ($200).. But that's a ludicrous case which costs more than the PSP itself.. BUT far far more stylish than anything on the market, including the iSkin.. see ? Now I've piqued your curiosity because if you're considering the iSkin, stylish protection is what you want..I only have 2 beefs:1) the left directional, circle, and analog stick is barely blocked by the perimeter of the sleeve. With a bit of mental adjustment you can work around this. I dunno why they couldn't contour the border a bit better..2) that "iSkin" logo on the cover completely defeats the sophistication the product excudes.. It's like building a Benz, and slapping on big "BENZ" text on the hood.. It woulda been better if instead of RAISED bold lettering, they simply had subtle embossed lettering..

[PSP]Daxter

Huge adventures, crazy battles, amazing graphics This must be a Jak game, but no it's just our cute cuddly little orange Ottsel friend Daxter, and although he's been taking the shoulder seat of Jak the whole series, get ready for the side-kick to take over! Don't be discouraged though, this is just as good of a game as we've witnessed before. Although the game is only 8-10 hours, it does pack a huge punch in the bite sized package.Daxter takes the front seat in his own game which is placed between the first and second Jak games. In this game our Ottsel friend starts out poor and with nobody, because Jak has gone to jail. You play as Daxter and soon find yourself working for a bug extermination company; this all leads to your further adventures. You start out armed with a bug swatter, and make your way around enemies with that. However, after a few missions you get a bug spray can type thing. This allows you to fly, stun enemies, and occasionally you put your poisonous fumes in contact with a flame and you can start spraying fire. I think that the Jak and Daxter series has never been to great with the weapons and this game is just as “ungreat” but nevertheless the fly swatter and bug spray are all you need! The story is just filled with all these great characters who each add a whole whad of depth to the story. Again whether it's Ready at Dawn, Mad Dog or any other company, the Jak's and Daxter's have not put us down with their awesome voice acting and personalities. The Bosses are again giant, but not quite as big as in the previous Jak games, however they still provide an immense challengeGraphically this game is absolutely gorgeous, the scenery and characters look absolutely stunning, and are very highly detailed. As a matter of fact with certain characters beard and furs Ready at Dawn has gone back and made every strand of hair visible on its own, causing for that extra amazing leap in realism. The backgrounds are yet again creative, and very detailed, but still on the neat side, making them amazing to look at.As far as sound goes, there isn't much to say, except again, amazing. The voices are top notch, fitting the characters perfectly yet still being believable. You hear grunts and background comments from the people around you. However it doesn't end there, You still get the amazingly realistic sound effects of weapons and vehicles, and the music that fits the game perfectly.Daxter is a truly amazing game, and if there is more to come from this series on PSP they will have great success, but for now we can easily enjoy this great platformer. With no doubts I give this game a great score of 93 out of 100!

[PSP]Medal of Honor Heroes

Medal of Honor Heroes is a good shooter for the PSP. It combines good graphics with good sound and great online play to create a game of excellence.Graphically this game presents itself solidy. There are no problems with characters and scenery in the game except for minor hitches. And this looks very good. The gameplay is intense and very captivating. You get a wide variety of guns and the game throws so much action at you its not even funny. One major problem with the gameplay is that the campaign is terribly short and its not fun to play after. Thank goodness for the online play however which is so so so very fun and if you have a way to play online you could just buy this game for that. The game sounds good. It combines nice music with nice sound effects to help add to your good experience.Overall I say this game is worth maybe a bit less than the 45 dollars it is being sold for, but you are still getting alot for your money with this game.

[PSP]Ape Escape Academia

Play wacky multi-player mini-games either by yourself or against others. With simple rules and gameplay, Piposaru Academia, or Ape Academy, is fit for all ages.

[PSP]Killzone: Liberation

Killzone Liberation is and excellent game both as a sequel to the previous Killzone game and a title that could easily be on many people's must have list. However, the game loses points, because of a lack of infrastructure mode and the new camera angle doesn't stand a chance against the old first person camera. The single player campaign is very short, making Killzone and enjoyable game, that comes in a disappointingly small package.Killzone Liberation follows the previous story line of the first Killzone, and sets you up with what happens next. It is quite an fun experience, but I think SCEA will be better off calling this a side-step or test, as a pose to an all out sequel. This is because they have really experimented a lot with it, the biggest experiment being the camera angle. The graphics are sharp, and detailed, even though you are zoomed far away from the action. The shots from guns end up looking bad because SCEA ended up deciding that shooting a bright line would be good enough. Nevertheless the large nice-looking background, and good animation balance the graphics slightly to the good side.As the graphics come up short, the gameplay certainly doesn't, atleast not the actual campaign length. You'll be disappointed with your eight hour game, and will soon rely on the Infrastructure mode which it doesn't have, Ad-Hoc may be fun, but come on!!! I hate PSP games with no Infrastructure. However, while the campaign may be short, it is still extremely fun, and might have some replay value. Although there is nothing to collect, you may just go back for the sake of playing the damn game! Another weak point is the messed up control setup, half the buttons don't do anything, and the ones you do use are laid out in such a way that they may take hours to master, also things like strafing and reloading are missing which really screws things up.Sound is a bit off, but with the things going on, and all the different sound effects its hard to make it better. SCEA have certainly done a good job of capturing the sound of all your surroundings, but weapon shots are abit mediocre.Killzone Liberation has short loading times, and a very short game, but while it does last it is fun and has good graphics and decent sound, and with no online play, it certainly can't be a serious sequal, but nevertheless it is a good game. An 81 out of 100.
